Great Ocean Drive

We drove the Great Ocean Highway on the southern coast. The beaches were beautiful and we saw an echidna and kolas for the first time.

Melissa headed to the beach.

Gabe running on the beach.

And Grandpa and Grandma at the beach.

We visited a temperate rainforest.

We visited a gum forest and grandpa spotted koalas. After watching the koalas for a while, we had to pee and walked into the forest. While we were peeing, there was a loud grunting noise from an animal. We thought it was a wild boar about to charge and rushed back to the car, but found out later that it was a male koala defending its territory.

During the afternoon, we visited the 12 apostles (though there are now only 8).
Seagulls in the parking lot.

The coastline is very dangerous for boats, there have been many ship wrecks along the coast, thus lots of lighthouses.
